Recommended season: Summer
Uganda enjoys a very pleasant climate, due to its altitude above sea level, with temperatures of around 20-25°C. There are normally two rainy seasons during the year, between October and November and between April and May. The best time to travel to Rwanda is during the dry months, both for the sighting of animals and the state of the roads and trails.
The best time to observe mountain gorillas is during the dry season, which runs from January to February and from June to early September. The best place to observe them is Bwindi National Park where more than 300 specimens live, almost half of the world population of these majestic animals and their sighting is guaranteed.
