Recommended season: Summer
The climate in Kenya is tropical and temperate, and depending on the area you visit the climate varies considerably.
On the coast, the climate is warm and humid all year round while in the highlands and inland there is more rainfall and cooler temperatures. The northern regions generally remain dry and Nairobi has hot summers and cool winters.
The rainy season in Kenya runs from April to June and from October to December, so the best seasons to travel to Kenya are during the northern summer (July to September) and the northern winter (January to February).
