ZAMBIA / ZIMBABWE
Behind the steps of Livingstone
Tailor-made trip to Zambia and Zimbabwe
It must have been strange for a man of faith like Livingstone, a Scottish missionary doctor, to let himself be carried away by the infinite African lands. Perhaps, leaving surprise aside, he felt closer to God as he faced the ferocious spectacle of raging water from the marvelous Victoria Falls and contemplated their magical sunsets, as beautiful as they were unreal.

Recommended season: Autumn
Any time is a good time to travel to Zambia/Zimbabwe. The dry and rainy seasons can be distinguished.
From November to March, rains are abundant, so national parks enjoy lush vegetation. Animal watching is not as good due to the amount of water and the dense savannah but bird watching is spectacular.
Animal watching is convenient from June onwards, during the dry season. From September to October is the best time to enjoy the wild animals that congregate in the water ponds, rivers and lakes.
During the months of April and May, just after the rains, Victoria Falls are in full splendor. At this time the falls become the largest waterfall in the world.
From September to December, you can enjoy aswim in the Devil’s Pool, when the water flow is lowest and the bath is safe.
It is a natural pool at the edge of the cliff with a slope of more than 100 meters high and very close to the same line from which the Victoria Falls waters fall in all their splendor and which is protected from the currents by a wall of natural rock.
Scottish explorer David Livingstone discovered them in 1805 and named them after Queen Victoria, although they are locally known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders.
